I just felt like .... a BR.AD in Trimble

- The one where I ran around Trimble, MO ... literally -
A ...  Bearded Runner ADventure   - if you will -    lovingly called a "BR.AD"

I have been hard at work with coach Kaitlin trying to get back confidence in my ability to run and really needed an ADventure !   You see, I have been having hamstring issues since December 8th.   I get feeling better and POP there goes all the progress.   There were (3) POPs in the left hammy between Dec 21 & Jan 2.

This was a test run and I can say the work we are doing is working !

k, so on to the ADventure ...

Met with Run Coach at Captain's Corner in Paradise for lunch.  If you have not been, you should!
After lunch I planned on starting a new city in City Strides and why not Trimble ?!?

Ran the perimeter today and I will be back to finish running all the streets soon.

Run started slow, Hamstring started barking within 1/4 mile.   Slight pain, extreme tightness in the lower portion.  Did some leg swings and other movements and continued with caution at a slower pace.
Goal today is to complete the run without a POP in the hammy.

Perfect Day to explore backroads in a new area !

You never know what you will see

Yeah, there was a little snow left and some mud but today was NOT about speed

In fact, the mud, snow and ice (in areas) added to the ADventure !

Wait... what ?!?   Is that a Person ?

Nope... a Scarecrow !  Still, took me a second and was kinda freaky

Continued on... rounded a corner, crested a hill, slow going due to mud and slick spots.

Wait... what ?!?   Is that a Scarecrow ?

Nope... a person !   SERIOUSLY,  kinda freaky

Took me a while to 'catch up'  and pass (due to the mud)
My imagination was really having a field trip !

The mud turned to ice and was even slower going.
This gentleman still had no idea I was coming up on him and I REALLY did not want to scare him.

I mean, what kind of strange person would be out there running !!!

It was not long after this picture that he heard my muddy, sloshing steps from running ...
Yeah, I startled him :(

When I passed, I made small talk about it not being the ideal running conditions and was on my way

Added a little extra distance towards the end of the run with an etch-a-sketch because I was thankful to be able to run in a new city and to complete this run without pain !!!
(and that guy was not a serial killer)

THANK YOU for joining me on this ADventure, I am coming back STRONGER than ever !

That's all for now,

Scott
