I just felt like .... a BR.AD on the Fishing River trail

- The one where Bae and I ran Fishing River trail in Kearney -
A ...  Bearded Runner ADventure   - if you will -    lovingly called a "BR.AD"

Here is another Route Report with pictures.   I hope you like it as much as we did!

Today was going to be my 7-mile "Tempo" run but I took Bae on an ADventure instead.   We headed to Kearney to explore a hidden gem we have been running occasionally for over 3 years.   It is a relatively flat 4-mile paved loop just off 19th st & S. Jefferson St.   I park at the church and like to run it Counter-Clockwise.

Officially called a 'Walking Trail' but we are rebels and ran it :)

They do what they can on up-keep and for the most part, it is in good condition.

This time we explored more of the Mtn. Bike trails on the SW corner of the loop.  Overgrown in spots, a few spiderwebs but was well worth it!

Right from the beginning, Bae has always been an adventurous doggie.  She has always loved the outdoors, trail running and climbing on logs

She leads the way like a PRO!   If there is a fork in the road, she knows 'Left' and "This Way' (for Right) so I do get to steer :)

You never know what you will see on an ADventure!

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY - even if is defacing private property I guess ?!?

mother EARTH thanks you (for littering where most people won't see it)

No, I did not pick it up but if anyone would care to join me, we could go "Plogging" in the area
“plogging” is coined from the English phrase “jogging” and “plocka upp”, a Swedish term that means “picking up”.
Yep,

plogging is the Swedish fitness trend that combines jogging while picking up trash

No matter where I go, GABE is there ...

After the bike trails, we got back on the 'Walking Trail' ...
There was a section that was closed due to construction.  Yup, rebels - we went around the barriers.

Many of you know that bae likes to run on top of rock walls.
This is the "Bae Wall" that started that :)

We ran in the Corn Field for a bit

I mentioned earlier that bae and I have been running here for 3.5 years.
This picture was taken April 2018

Same tree, it was much more deteriorated

I like my easy days to be around 10:00 pace so we pushed it hard the last 1.5 miles to get under 10 only stopping for traffic to cross the road (twice) ... Yeah, we got tired!

That's all for now,

Scott
